Food Handling CourseWestchester Food Safety is committed to our customers and our mission above all is securing a great educational experience where our students can achieve their goal in gaining their Servsafe Food Manger’s Safety Protection Certification. Please read the following policies.

Food Handling Course Refund & Cancellation Policy:

Refunds will not be issued 3 weeks before course and or exam. Changing classes if space is available is allowed up to 3 weeks prior to the original class date. In some cases this may not be possible due to class space and availability. Requests to transfer class, less than a 3 week before class an $80.00 rescheduling fee will apply, plus the difference due to any discounts. Those who wish to cancel within the first 24 hours of ordering the course and exam may receive a full refund. Canceling the class and or exam up until 3 weeks before the course may receive 50% of their purchase.

Class locations may change and no refunds for location changes will be granted. Inclement weather policy; class are postponed and or delayed based on the location of the course and the local school policy. If the local schools are delayed then the class will be delayed. If the schools are closed the class will be rescheduled. Every effort will be made to reschedule the course and or exam date, there are no refunds for weather-related class changes.

If a student fails to pass the food manager’s exam a student may re-take the exam for a fee of $125.00. Payments for rescheduling, re-testing are non-refundable.  The rescheduled date must be within 90 days of the original class date.

Material presented during the food manager’s course is local, state, and federal regulatory accepted food safety information however Instructors may use real life situations during then course instruction but these actions may not reflect specific codes or business practices by the regulatory agencies.

Individuals are responsible to make sure they understand their local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, especially in regards to the number of hours of required training. No refunds for an individual who takes the wrong course or exam will be issued.


If a class is postponed due to inclement weather students will be placed in another class suitable to their needs and space availability. No refunds will be granted due to weather postponements.


If a food managing class attendee does not have valid photo identification, they may stay for the course but are not permitted to stay for the exam. To reschedule the exam there is a $80.00 fee. The rescheduling is based on class availability and must be scheduled with 90 days of original exam date.

Purchasers acknowledge that they have read and understood the enclosed policies whether products were purchased online or by phone. The purchaser agrees to these above terms and to all terms deemed in this website.
